APPLYING TRAINING EXPERTISE TO FLIGHT OPERATIONS WITH AN EXPERIENCED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR ON BOARD

Landing Training and LIFUS

LANDING AND LINE FLYING UNDER SUPERVISION

Flight simulators are amazing tools for learning the craft of flying, but taking the complex skills you have acquired in your type rating training course and putting them into practice with air under your wings is a new challenge. Let our experienced flight instructors with TRI and TRE qualifications accompany your junior pilots in their daily flight operations, thus ensuring a seamless entry into service.

Our instructors intensively train the landing required for a type rating as part of flight patterns or act as flight operations coaches during the line flights. We always adapt our Line Flying under Supervision (LIFUS) program to match our client’s reality. We not only take the experience of your pilots into account, but also your operating environment, route structure, and other company-specific requirements. In 2018 alone, our trainers carried out 6,000 hours of LIFUS.

Please note that any landing training needs to take place under your responsibility. Prior to starting a type rating course, you need to obtain official approval from the relevant civil aviation authority and we need to sign an agreement to this effect with your airline.

Aircraft Landing Training

Regardless of whether you are looking for a full type rating course or a truncated Cross-Crew Qualification course (for Airbus types), each type rating training needs to also include landing training. Aircraft landing rraining is carried out after the skills test – either in a full flight simulator as part of a Zero-Flight-Time Landing Training or in a real aircraft.

Line Flying under Supervision (LIFUS)

In our Line Flying under Supervision course, your pilots can take the procedures and techniques they learned during the simulator sessions of their type rating and apply those to flying an actual aircraft.

We carry out our Line Flying under Supervision (LIFUS) program during normal commercial operations in one of your aircraft, which enables a pilot to conclude the final step of their type rating training effectively and under actual working conditions.
