FINANCIAL AID FOR YOUR PILOT TRAINING

Training without equity

THE LUFTHANSA GROUP PROMOTION PROGRAM

Pilot trainings worldwide require a great deal of material, effort, and money to be spent. Lufthansa Group places great emphasis on training quality and on offering attractive financing conditions. At the same time, we are aware that the cost of the training is a major hurdle for many people who are not able to rely on financial support from their family or parents. A family’s financial background should not be the deciding criterion for your career choice – it is our desire to attract the best talent with diverse backgrounds and also colorful CVs.
That's why we have developed, in cooperation with renowned organizations, a Lufthansa Group promotion program to provide further assistance in financing your pilot training.

THE PROMOTION PROGRAM OF THE LUFTHANSA GROUP: OVERVIEW

The promotion program is intended for talented applicants who are unable to finance the pilot training at the European Flight Academy out of pocket even with the help of family members, as well as for alumni of our partner organizations (START and AFS). The need for aid is determined on the basis of eligibility for educational aid pursuant to the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (BAföG, German Federal Law on Educational Support). Furthermore, preference is given to applicants whose parents do not have an academic background. In the interest of promoting diversity, female applicants with equal qualifications will receive particular support within the program.  Besides the required notice of assessment of eligibility for educational aid pursuant to the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (BAföG, German Federal Law on Educational Support), additional proofs of need are optional. You can find all proofs of need in the list available for download.

Alumni of our partner organizations can apply without having to show need.
Persons in need of aid who are not eligible for educational aid pursuant to the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (BAföG, German Federal Law on Educational Support) may also apply to the promotion program provided they meet all requirements for applying to the training at European Flight Academy are met.
