Make-up of the training costs

In all phases of its training, the European Flight Academy places a premium on quality. We offer first-rate flight instructors with comprehensive practical experience, a modern and standardized fleet of aircraft and simulators, attractive training locations with excellent infrastructure, an ambitious and sustainably designed training concept, and much more. BASIC TRAINING COSTS FOR COMMERCIAL PILOTS IN SWITZERLAND (ATPL) Training costs will become due in 3 rates before the respective training step:

Financing Options

Your options for financing

The training financing allows you to start your pilot training at SWISS without your own funds, using a framework and loan agreement. Similarly, at Edelweiss, Swiss citizens are not required to provide their own funds

The conditions for Swiss citizens at a glance

- As a Swiss citizen, you do not need to contribute your own funds
- You receive a training loan of CHF 80,000 from SWISS or Edelweiss. If you contribute your own capital, you can take out a lower loan amount. You conveniently repay this loan, including interest according to the requirements of the ESTV, with your pilot salary.
- In addition, you receive government subsidies of CHF 60,000. You can find details underAviation Training Financing (VFAL).

The conditions for EU/EFTA citizens at a glance:

- At SWISS, you can start your training without your own capital. The financing amount is CHF 104,000.
- At Edelweiss, a personal contribution of CHF 24,000 is required, as Edelweiss provides the same financing amount of CHF 80,000 for both Swiss and EU/EFTA citizens.
- You receive a training loan of CHF 104,000 at SWISS and CHF 80,000 at Edelweiss. You can also take out a lower loan amount. You repay this loan, plus interest according to the ESTV guidelines, comfortably with your pilot salary.
- In addition, you receive government subsidies of CHF 36,000. You can find details under Aviation Training Financing (VFAL).
