Our five-day TRI Extension source is designed for pilots who are already TRI or SFI instructors but who would now like to become instructors for an additional aircraft type for which they do not have the type rating. The course can also be done as a SFI (synthetic flight instructor) course.
Because the basic teaching skills are already taught as part of the TRI course, the Type Rating Instructor Extension course only consists of two phases:
- Technical instruction and self-study
- Nonstandard seat familiarization, airplane training/intervention strategies/teaching under supervision/assessment of competences.
