European Flight Academy welcomes two new DA40 NG

European Flight Academy, a brand of Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT), recently took delivery of two brand new Austro Engine jet-fuel powered DA40 NG aircraft at Rostock-Laage airport in Germany, expanding its flight training fleet in Germany to 12 aircrafts of both types, DA40 and DA42.

New Boeing 787-9 Flight Simulator

  • The first 787-9 simulator at Lufthansa Aviation Training is ready for take-off
  • Good teamwork with manufacturer L3Harris from Great Britain
  • Manufactured in modular fashion and assembled in Frankfurt

It is ready for take-off: The first Boeing 787-9 full-flight simulator (FFS) of Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) is ready for training operations at the Frankfurt location. It was made in Crawley by British manufacturer L3Harris. The new training device for the training of pilots is already the 26th full-flight simulator of the Boeing 787 model manufactured and delivered by L3Harris. The flight simulator is just under seven meters wide and measures roughly seven meters in both height and depth. With its 14 tons in weight, the new training device is no lightweight.

European Flight Academy: New and innovative financing options for the training at Lufthansa Group’s flight school

  • External financing providers Brain Capital and Albatros ready to offer initial financing
  • Student pilots can choose from a variety of options to finance their training
  • The European Flight Academy will commence training operations in July: recruiting process for further courses already underway

Lufthansa Aviation Training GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Group and operator of the European Flight Academy (EFA) flight school, now offers its student pilots two financial service providers Brain Capital GmbH and Albatros Financial Solutions GmbH as external partners for the financing of the training costs.

European Flight Academy: Lufthansa Group flight school launches training of pilots

  • After more than two pandemic years: In the summer of 2022, the European Flight Academy will commence training operations
  • Time was put to use for a realignment of the flight school: Focus is on the quality of the training and the maximization of job prospects
  • Training at the flight school will open the doors into Lufthansa Group cockpits
  • Sustainability: Entire training will be carbon-neutral

Starting in the summer of 2022, the European Flight Academy will be “ready for take-off”: The Lufthansa Group flight school is going to take up operations with the courses for the two-year airline transport pilot training. The training had to be terminated at all European Flight Academy locations in March 2020. With this relaunch, Lufthansa Group continues to show its commitment to its own pilot training and secures young professionals as well as the highest standards of quality for the Group airlines in the long term.
